“Just…vacationing,” she shrugs. “As if we could lose each other ” she laughs. “What kind of loser Willow would I be if I lost my Tara?”

The vampire purses her lips, curious. “Magic to help the Slayer? You are an odd duck, you know?”

Willow’s lips parted as if she were to say something, but at the mention of losing Tara, she shut her mouth again, looking down at the ground. She had lost her Tara, in the worst way imaginable. 

Smiling as if the vampire had somehow complimented her, she nodded, “I know. Odd duck, weird goose, magic Willow…It’s still me. And it’s saved our lives more than once.”

Dean really didnt’ like witches but he watched Willow close her eyes and and mutter some words in latin and he got some of it but not all of it. Dean watched as the book opened up and turned pages on their own accord and he thought that was a very handy trick. “Neat trick would have come in handy for a few times with me and Sammy.” Dean told her smiling. 

Willow’s lips curled into a smile, but she didn’t open her eyes until the wind had passed and everything went quiet in the room. Opening them, she looked down at the page it had landed upon, scanning over the content. “Kitsune —Oh wow. This doesn’t sound good. Not good at all…” Looking up at Dean with a worried gaze, she worried her bottom lip before taking the book in her lap to read it more carefully.
